Advisor, Life and Health Insurance

As an Advisor, Life and Health Insurance, you help serve, prospect for, solicit, and develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients. You help sell life and health insurance products and services through multiple distribution channels based on member/client needs and current strategies and practices. Your focus areas include individual insurance, group insurance and retirement savings plans, insurance brokerage, segregated funds, travel insurance and life and health insurance claims settlement. You develop and maintain personal business relationships with clients. You drive results by promoting and selling products and services in accordance with your unit’s business objectives and strategies. You balance sales objectives, sound and prudent risk management, profitability and member/client satisfaction. You work with clients with diverse needs and significant development potential for your sector. You analyze member/client needs, develop and implement personalized solutions, and present integrated service offers. Your work and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of business. You advise and assist current and potential members and clients. You represent Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with clients. You also have opportunities to establish and negotiate product and service terms. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:- Conducts periodic reviews of the progress of assigned files, and more specifically of all pending- all pending requirements, to identify blockages and take the necessary action to ensure continuity of file processing- Provides second line support to the customer contact center in terms of file follow-up, selection decisions and other information on the end-to-end process- Collaborates with different parts of the company to find appropriate solutions for complex files- Contributes to the improvement of customer service guidelines and standards by sharing customer feedback and proposing initiatives to improve customer service- Collaborates on improving customer service guidelines and standards by sharing customer feedback and proposing initiatives to evolve the service approach for customers and partners- Meets tight deadlines under pressure while delivering quality service- Maintains strong working relationships with all partners to ensure an efficient decision-making process, including external partners (agents, assistant manager, etc.)

- A minimum of two years of relevant experience-
