Night Housekeeper

A wonderful opportunity to join our amazing housekeeping team at our NEW Muskoka Landing Retirement Lodge in Huntsville, On.

We are looking for a overnight self-starter that is motivated to help us keep our building as clean as possible. **The hours for this position are from 11PM to 7 AM.**

**Accountabilities**

**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the Environmental Service Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible and accountable for all cleaning of the suites, and any other duty that is given by the Manager.

**Nature and Scope**:
Ensures that the suites are cleaned to a high standard and maintained as per facility standards. Ensures the daily cleanliness of the building including all common areas, public bathrooms and fixtures.

All employees must be able to lift 50lbs

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
Clean the common areas

including but not limited to;
the common area(s) and follow the common area(s) cleaning checklist including outside balconies

including the public bathrooms

including the elevator(s)

including the dining room(s)

Including the shipping and receiving area(s)

Including the front vestibule, front lobby and rear lobby

Including the locker rooms

Including Vacuum hallways in a corresponding manner according to the weekly cleaning schedule

Including dusting and disinfecting hallways: wall hangings, name plates and handrails

Including all management offices, the reception area and administrative areas in a corresponding manner according to the weekly cleaning schedule

Including stairwells, swept and mopped

Including washing the site provided bed linens and towels for residents - cleaning the lint traps

Including Fire Exit lights and taking water temperatures

Including personal laundry that has been assigned through contracts

Different instruments will be used to achieve these duties: vacuum, mop (wet and dry), microfiber clothes, dusters and a variety of chemical products.

Housekeepers will be expected to adhere to the schedule and the duties assigned to them during those times that included but are not limited to cleaning suites, common areas and public washrooms

Continuing education will be completed on a monthly bases to keep in compliance with the RHRA

The housekeepers are to report any minor facility issue noticed on their rounds through out the building, including but not limited to: light bulbs needing replacing, fixtures needing repair, plumbing issues, broken electrical socket, damaged base boards, doors, walls, ceilings, windows, floors and carpetsAre you someone who can work independently with different tasks each day as you work through the building?
