Pimicikamak Communications Corp. (PimComm) is in the process of establishing itself as a 100% Indigenously owned internet service provider to offer residential and commercial high-speed internet throughout underserved regions in Northern Manitoba and is looking for a highly motivated individual to become its ISP Network Manager.

Based in Cross Lake, MB and reporting to the Vice-President, the ISP Network Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the operation of the PimComm’s internet infrastructure for residential, business, and anchor institutions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the development and implementation of a reliable internet delivery architecture maximizing performance for our customers and minimizing operational cost.
- Manage the growth of PimComm’s network through demonstrated best practices in network engineering and operations.
- Own and manage relationships with strategic peering, transit and content partners, representing PimComm and its stakeholders within the internet community.
- Ensure operational readiness and network reliability for the proper operation of internet, voice, and additional services through change management, procedural development, and documentation of current systems.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends for service provider internet access and gateway technologies.
- Research new architectures, technologies, vendors and features.
- Develop tools for measurement, analysis and optimization of network performance.
- Work with colocation partners to create facilities specifications for new equipment installations and upgrades.
- Develop documentation, procedures and provide training on the architecture, operations and troubleshooting of PimComm’s internet connection architecture.
- Mentor team members to increase their understanding of the end-to-end network operation.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external stake holders.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- 5+ years working in an IT related field.
- 3+ years working in a service provider environment with a focus on network architecture, internet connectivity and routing.
- Cisco CCNP Service Provider Operations (Preferred but not a requirement).
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS-XR, IOS-XE and NX-OS - associated industry / vendor certifications would be an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, ISIS, VPNv4, IPv4/IPv6 environments.
- In depth knowledge of typical Service Provider Ethernet service offerings and MEF.
- In depth knowledge of switching technologies such as VLANs, QinQ and Spanning Tree.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with other team members.
- Detail-oriented, self-starter individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to stay organized and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
