Nexicom is looking for a **Network Operations Centre Technician.**

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and ticket triage of voice, video, and data services
- Responsible for resolving tickets escalated to the network Operations Centre, and documenting the resolution

This position may require regular Saturday and Sunday scheduling.

This position requires the individual to be on call on a pre-determined schedule.

**Education**:
Two
- or three-year college diplomas in Computer Engineering - Networking or Telecommunications Systems or equivalent.

Computer Knowledge:

- Proficiency and experience of working with layer -3 protocols including OSPF, VRRP, BGP, MPLS, VPLS and PIM. Working knowledge of both IPv4 and IPv6, Layer 2 switching, routing, subnetting, and QOS.

**Experience**:
One to three years of work experience in a related field. Service Provider experience preferred.
