The Ministry of Forests is responsible for supporting a sustainable and competitive future for B.C.’s forest sector, while taking action to keep forests healthy and protect communities in the face of climate change and extreme weather events.

Reporting to a senior bargaining unit supervisor or excluded manager, the Resource Specialist - Revenue provides expertise and advice to others. This role has a strong focus on overseeing and providing guidance to the work of other technical staff and contracted resources.

**Job Requirements**:

- Diploma or higher in natural resource management with 3 years’ *related experience.
- Registered, or immediately eligible for registration as a Registered Forest Technologist with the Association of B.C. Forest Professionals.
- Related experience must include the following:

- Experience working in natural resource management.
- Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management.- Provisos /Willingness statements:
- Willingness to conduct field work which may include travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, overnight or extended stay in rough camp conditions and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Valid BC driver’s licence.
- Must be physically able to carry equipment and supplies in difficult terrain.
- May be required to operate field equipment (i.e., quad, snowmobile).
