**Professional Security Systems & Network Integration Technician**

Northeastern Protection Service is a leading security systems integrator with over 40 years of experience, protecting corporations, government agencies, and more. We specialize in comprehensive protection solutions and are looking for an experienced technician to join our growing team.

**The Role**:
As a **Professional Security Systems & Network Integration Technician**, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and maintaining commercial security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. You will also configure and troubleshoot IP-based networks to ensure seamless integration between security devices and IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and leadership abilities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, program, maintain, and repair security systems (CCTV, access control, alarm systems).
- Configure and troubleshoot networking components related to security systems, including IP addressing, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Integrate security systems with existing IT networks, ensuring secure communication between devices and centralized monitoring systems.
- Diagnose and resolve networking and system issues using diagnostic tools.
- Mentor and train junior technicians on system integration and networking best practices.
- Ensure safety and compliance on all projects and sites.

**Your Skills & Experience**:

- 2+ years of experience with commercial security systems installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and configuring network devices (firewalls, switches, routers).
- Certifications in electronic engineering and product-specific certifications (e.g., Kantech, Amag, ICT).
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot both security systems and networking issues.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in various environments, indoors and outdoors.

- **Education**: AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
- **Experience**: 2+ years in electrical/integration or related field (preferred)
- **Licenses**: Fall Arrest, First Aid (preferred), Driver’s License (required)

**Work Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday, with on-call and overtime as needed.

**Work Location**:

- Halifax Regional Municipality, In-person
