Northumberland Drywall, an established leader in the construction industry since 2006, is seeking a skilled Drywall and Steel Stud Framing Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our company, you will be responsible for performing drywall installation, repair, and finishing tasks, as well as steel stud framing, to ensure top-notch quality and customer satisfaction. **Responsibilities**:
- Install, repair, and finish drywall using industry-standard techniques and tools.
- Perform steel stud framing for various construction projects.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to determine work requirements.
- Measure, cut, and fit drywall and steel studs accurately.
- Smooth seams, joints, and surfaces using appropriate techniques such as taping, mudding, and sanding.
- Ensure all work meets code requirements and client expectations.
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Drywall and Steel Stud Framing Technician or similar role is an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of drywall installation, repair, finishing techniques, and steel stud framing is an asset.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety protocols is an asset.
- Continuous learning mindset and a willingness to adapt to new techniques and technologies.
**Salary**: $25.00-$42.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
