We are currently looking for a Planner, Product Communications to join our team in Mississauga, ON - Canada.

The position will support the Manager of Product & Technology Communications in managing all media relations and press office activities for the Nissan & INFINITI brands. This includes daily media relations, coordination of media events, product launches, auto shows and various media activities. The position will also be responsible for the national Press Fleet management and booking with media and influencers. In addition, the Planner, Product Communications will be responsible for managing the Nissan Sentra Cup alongside the Director of Corporate Communications. The position reports to the Manager of Product & Technology Communications

**Job functions Include but are not limited to**:
Responsible for INFINITI’s media relations and product storytelling, including day-to-day contact for media and influencers, support the INFINITI team in all communication needs, develop media materials (press kits, press releases, briefing books, video & image content development), coordinate product launches, and manage auto shows media activities with the Manager of Product & Technology Communications, agencies on record.
Support the Manager of Product & Technology Communications with Nissan related press office and product collateral.
Manage existing relations and develop new ones with automotive and lifestyle media and influencers.
Develop and/or review communications collateral to ensure adherence to brands and products’ standards and that content is appropriate and compelling for intended audiences.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments for brand and product activities, such as partnerships, specific promotions, contests, auto show media activities and storytelling for both brands, Nissan & INFINITI.
Responsible for day-to-day Nissan & INFINITI press fleet management. This includes:
Acting as the main point of contact for press fleet bookings
Ordering, tracking and retiring vehicles, working with internal departments as well as press fleet vendors.
Act as the main point of contact with the Director of Corporate Communications on the Nissan Sentra Cup Series organization, logistics, media relations, and content creation. This includes:
Managing the media relations for the Nissan Sentra Cup in collaboration with the PR Agency of Record.
Reviewing press office related to the Nissan Sentra Cup, including calendar announcement, race and result updates, as well as other applicable storytelling opportunities.
Managing all logistics pertinent to the Nissan Sentra Cup and attending all races and events on-site (6), coordinating with the Event Promotor and other internal and external stakeholders on on-site activations, VIP invitations, Customer program, promotion and contests, etc.
Handle incoming inquiries in the absence of other dept. members and other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
Education & Experience

Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience preferably working with communications teams, media and senior management. Experience in the automotive industry a plus.
Must be fluent in English, French is an asset.
Good understanding of UGC.
High level of competence with Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, and Outlook.

Knowledge and Skills

Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex ideas and concepts into communications that meet audience needs in a timely manner.
Proficiency in all areas of PR writing, including but not limited to: press releases; briefing books; biographies; social media content; and media pitches.
Strong verbal communications and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated experience working effectively in partnership with a broad range of individuals and organizations of diverse backgrounds
Proven ability to prioritize, work independently under mínimal supervision, deal with multiple tasks/conflicting deadlines and change priorities as required.
Basic bookkeeping with an aptitude for numbers and accuracy.
Must have a valid driver’s license. The ability to drive a manual transmission a plus.
