The laboratory technician is responsible for producing reliable results to support mineralogical and metallurgical analysis.

The lab-based tasks include: receiving and registering new sample inventory, preparing mineral samples through various operations (crushing, milling, splitting, screening, various gravity separating techniques, etc.), conducting simple chemical testing, maintaining/cleaning lab equipment and environment.
This job involves moderate physical activities, occasional lifting of 10 to 15kg samples, some dust, noise and occasional usage of toxic chemicals.

*Able to follow instructions
*Able to work under mínimal supervision as well as in a team
*Able to complete tasks with excellent quality under pressure

Training will be provided on-site, including any pertinent WHIMS and internal safety training programs.
