We recently adopted a new Governance Model to improve the effectiveness of our design practice and our business. We’ve built a professional Management Team to operate our business and enable our design practitioners to focus on what they do best - on professional practice to deliver for our clients and doing exceptional design that moves forward on our journey. We’ve got high aspirations and lots to accomplish, and we need your help.

As the Leader of Project Management Program and Process, you will work directly with DIALOG’s Senior Management Team (SMT) to support the project management practice and improve business workflows that add value. This includes the development and implementation of a practice-wide project review program that will draw on your strong business acumen, track record of collaboration, and your demonstrated evidence of delivering impactful results.

**DIALOG operates from across various studios, yet we are currently working flexibly in a hybrid model. We anticipate some periodic on-site collaboration may be beneficial. Residing near one of our studios (Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton) is preferred but not essential.**

**How you'll make a difference**:

- Collaborate closely with DIALOG’s Senior Management Team in a consultant role to assess project performance, improve business processes, and engage and coach project team leaders towards increased efficacy in project management.
- Lead a program that identifies, analyzes, optimizes and documents project management processes and policies.
- Gather research and information from multiple sources and synthesize insights and recommendations that identify and facilitate the resolve of competing priorities.
- Identify gaps, problem areas and inefficiencies, determine the root of project problems and offer recommendations for improvement. Identify strengths, areas of best-practice, and share these findings across the practice.
- Support the development of project management for seasoned leaders as well as for practitioners that are only intermittently engaged in the role.
- Prepare or contribute to the preparation of business cases; feasibility studies; business requirements, processes and documentation; data analysis, records of management best practices.
- Prepare reports and give presentations for the Senior Management Team, making recommendations on changes in business methods and processes.
- Act as an ambassador for the industry and for DIALOG, sharing areas of improvement for the benefit of design consultant industry and construction industry at large.
- Participate in financial analyses and develop metrics for measuring and tracking effectiveness of projects and process changes.
- Directly support projects where possible including through claims analysis and change order request development or evaluation.

**Who you are**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years of project management experience in the design or construction industries.
- Excellent communication skills, as well as effective presentation and relationship skills.
- Experience in business project delivery, and the implementation of business systems in complex organizations including reviewing, evaluating and documenting business processes and workflows.
- Digitally savvy, working with data, digital workflows, and productivity and collaboration tools, such including MS Office, MS Teams, and MS Project.
- Enjoy working with diverse stakeholders including DIALOG’s Project Management Roundtable to identify needs, assess current and optimal processes, and identify business and technical requirements in a dynamic environment.
- Analytical skills to assess and review project performance to identify opportunities, alternatives, and best practices to improve project and business outcomes, create a high-quality experience, and to support process innovations.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work with cross-functional teams, set clear directions and design terms of reference and project plans.
