Transporation Coordinator

ARCP is a large heavy civil construction contractor based in Dartmouth, NS. We are looking for a Transportation Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in transportation related activities. The successful hire will possess exceptional communication skills & keen attention to detail to ensure transportation operations run effectively.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education.
- Valid NS driver’s license.
- Highly organized, reliable & punctual.
- Able to multitask and work collaboratively.
- Flexible availability needed for occasional weekend & evening work as required.
- Strong written and oral communication as well as an aptitude for technology.

**Responsibilities**
- Daily Dispatch of ARCP trucks and broker trucks.
- Moving Equipment /Attachments / Materials under direction of the Fleet Manager.
- Finding and scheduling broker trucks.
- Gather and maintain broker information records in coordination with the Fleet Manager.
- Auditing Drivers time sheets and hours of service.
- Check daily pre-trip inspections and report back to the Fleet Manager.
- Purchasing permits for oversize and overweight loads under direction of the Fleet Manager.
- Trucks utilization and optimization. (using GPS data to monitor driver behaviours)
