**Overall Responsibilities**:
The **Accounting Manager** will be responsible for helping in supervising and managing a small corporate accounting team of accountants who in turn each are responsible for full cycle accounting of assigned client hotels. In addition, the Accounting Manager will also have some assigned client hotels and corporate books to oversee, and other tasks as assigned. We are looking for someone to develop and maintain accounting processes, best practices, and systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting information. Must have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The **Accounting Manager** will advise on coding to align with budgets, financial process improvement, and accurate financial reporting. Ability to work on Microsoft Teams to co-ordinate with hotels remotely.

The **Accounting Manager** will be responsible for taking point with end of month closings including but not limited to the following:

- Prepare full cycle accounting including financial statements and analysis for allotted client hotels.
- Help manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership
- Help maintain, oversee and guide all accounting procedures and processes
- Follow and comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
- Record and research all financial information for analysis
- Oversee AP process and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Advise on the procedures and financial management as well as developing policies
- Oversee financial reports for stockholders, taxes, regulatory agencies, and other financial groups relating to company finance
- Audit accounting and finance departments

**Job Requirements**:

- Accounting diploma or degree or working towards your CPA
- Experience with financial statement preparation
- Multi-property experience
- Demonstrated skill in exercising good judgment and decision making
- Ability to manage financials effectively and efficiently
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)

**Preferred**:

- Two to Five years of professional accounting experience
- Previous experience in hotel industry also strongly preferred
