**Position**

The Community Outreach Worker will work closely with the Wellness Coordinator, the outreach worker will

research, investigate and recommend solutions on issues and relationships with organizations, partners,

and clients. They will analyze and identify outreach needs, develop strategies, programs, activities, and resource requirements to meet those needs and issues.

They will be required to be mobile in the community via home visits and follow ups with clients.

**REPORTS TO Wellness Coordinator**

**Qualifications**
- Certificate in Addictions or other Human Services field or equivalent experience working with addictions and/or mental health.
- Empathy and Active listening
- Effective Communication
- Problem Solving
- Team Collaboration
- Crisis Intervention
- Resilience and Self -Care, must be living a Healthy lifestyle.
- Knowledge and understanding of First Nations people, the cultures, communities, service agencies and political structures.
- A Valid class 5 drivers’ licence, CPIC and/or Vulnerable Sector Check.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Provide day-to-day support to community members.
- Conduct assessment, determining immediate needs and supports along side the Wellness Coordinator
- Fill out intake forms.
- Complete required documentation
- Provide transportation to appointments.
- Mentor life skills
- Perform other duties as assigned by Wellness Coordinator.

**Salary**: $18.47-$31.21 per hour

- French not required

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
