**Job Title**

Analyst, Investment Banking

Moneta is currently seeking an Analyst to join its Vancouver corporate finance team. The team supports public and private equity financings, merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, and related advisory mandates. The team interacts with a wide variety of clients, industries, financial services, and products and works closely with Moneta’s partners on the execution of client transactions.

**What will you do?**
- Research and analyze client financial situations, industry and market data
- Research and analyze merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities
- Develop valuation models of private and public companies
- Support client negotiations
- Prepare external client materials including proposals and internal underwriting memos
- Prepare and contribute to client presentations
- Assist partners and senior team members as required

**Must have**
- Undergraduate in relevant field
- Completion of, or current enrolment in, CFA program
- Minimum one year experience working in an institutional finance role
- Thorough understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis principles
- Thorough understanding of valuation methods
- Ability to perform sophisticated financial modelling
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Outstanding work ethic
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Professional, friendly, and warm demeanour
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

**Nice-to-have**
- Experience working in an investment banking, family office, private equity, or venture capital firm
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)
- Experience preparing professional looking PowerPoint presentations

**Salary**: $71,052.00-$81,016.00 per year
