Job description

**Sunshower Sprinklers is hiring a Landscape Irrigation Technician.**

Sunshower Sprinklers located in Oak Bluff has been installing and servicing irrigation systems in the Winnipeg area with care and quality since 1994. We have the largest irrigation service business in Winnipeg, creating a steady flow of service work or our technicians. You will be reporting to the Service Manager.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Servicing Underground Irrigation Systems in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. This will include:

- Activating Commercial and Residential Underground Irrigation Systems Inspecting systems for optimal performance and coverage
- Checking the Controller for optimal programming and functionality
- Troubleshooting and Repairing Underground Irrigation Systems as required
- Maintaining contact with our service clients, providing estimates for repairs, and assisting them with any questions they may have regarding their irrigation system
- Tracking Parts used during repairs, and maintaining a van full of service parts
- Participation in the company Health and Safety Program as required
- Winterizing Irrigation Systems in the fall

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Class 5 driver’s license
- Irrigation installation or service experience is an asset but not required
- Irrigation Association or manufacturer certifications are an asset
- Must enjoy working outside
- Must enjoy troubleshooting/problem solving
- Must be able to communicate with clients effectively
- Must be physically fit as there will be digging of holes and trenches involved.
- Work well independently
- Knowledge in the use of smart phones/ tablets as all of our work orders are completed using a tablet

**Compensation package** will be hourly $18-$25, company vehicle including bonuses based on experience and working knowledge.

In the winter months some of our techs clear snow in the winter and others take the winter off.
