FTE: 1.0 FTE; 6.5 hrs/day; Full-Time Permanent Duties:
Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will assist the teacher in an Elementary classroom. Qualifications & Experience: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate is required; CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference given to applicants with positive behaviour supports and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Understanding how to utilize PODD to support students would be an asset. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered. Hourly Rate: $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
