- Project Officer Multiculturalism - Tourism & Cultural Outreach Lead_

POSITION DEPENENT UPON FUNDING

Outreach to organizations of underrepresented cultural groups and deepen existing relationships (including but not limited to Indigenous, Francophone, Hispanic, etc.)

Create and maintain an Indigenous artist and community organization database and keep track of ongoing involvement and activities (including reaching out to isolated regions in Northern Ontario)

Contribute to social media and marketing strategies in ways that provide fair representation for equity deserving cultural groups

Ensure marketing materials are distributed within markets that will reach equity deserving cultural groups and work to draw in equity deserving tourist groups

Establish relationships with local community groups, encouraging participation and helping to address barriers to accessing arts and culture activities offered by Fringe

Actively voice the needs and perspectives of equity deserving artists and patrons to other staff and board members

In partnership with the Artistic Producer, this individual will oversee the recruitment and coordination of Indigenous/Francophone/Hispanic/etc. artists, vendors, and volunteers for all Fringe activities

Co-creating policies and procedures to ensure Fringe North is a safe and welcoming environment for all

Helping to build an EDI training base with links and resources for ongoing learning

Participating in tabling and other outreach events

Ensuring tourism and cultural hubs around the region have access to festival marketing materials

Seeking creative grant opportunities and co-writing grants

Drivers license and access to a vehicle is an asset, though not required

Additional tasks will be assigned by the Artistic Producer and Artistic Director

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
