**About the position**

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supply Planner is responsible for procurement, planning and arranging of the transportation of all inbound, and stock transfer orders. If you are looking for an exciting role in a team orientated environment this is the job for you

**What you’ll do**:

- Purchase industrial chemicals at the best combination of cost, supply and delivery
- Plan orders using MRP/DRP software to optimize inventory investment
- Monitor and improve inventory performance of stock items
- Work with Transportation team to ensure timely delivery of purchased products
- Co-ordinate with demand planner, customer service, sales and operations departments to obtain information on customer requirements and resolve issues
- Support accurate pricing and other purchase order terms
- Work with suppliers to resolve product availability, service, quality, claims and pricing issues
- Other duties as required

**What you’ll need**:

- Post-secondary diploma and two (2) years specialized training (PMAC, APICS, or related work experience) is required
- Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills are required
- The successful applicant must also demonstrate initiative, autonomy, ethics and the ability to analyze alternatives
- Familiarity with ERP - MRP systems is an asset
