We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (RCO) to support the NRC Automotive and Surface Transportation Research Center (AST). The Technical Project Manager would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

The Automotive and Surface Transportation Research Centre has the mandate to advance product and process technologies for producing more fuel-efficient, affordable, and environmentally responsible ground vehicles and to deliver engineering solutions to complex technology challenges facing surface transport industries, including heavy vehicles and rail. The Research Centre also works with industry to develop sustainable packaging solutions and eco-friendly manufacturing technologies and products.

**Screening Criteria**:
**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.

Preference will be given to a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering, mechatronics, materials and metallurgy or robotics.

Graduation in business administration or a program specializing in project management could be considered an asset.

**Experience**:

- Experience engaging internal and external stakeholders in a complex R&D or innovation environment;
- Experience working with and reporting to expert and technical committees would be an asset; and
- Experience in project management in a research and technology environment would be an asset.
- Experience is defined as 1 to 3 years.

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or R&D related to metal or polymer products;
- Knowledge of project management theory, procedures and practices and the use of project management software tools; and
- Ability to coordinate activities, running meetings, tracking progress and communicating with stakeholders (internal and external).

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
