Waiter / Waitress

The Harrison Park Inn is looking for an experienced server to join our team. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has a passion for the service industry who wants to be a part of a strong team that has a focus on providing exceptional customer service at a busy restaurant in one of Owen Sound's most popular tourist destinations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing exceptional service
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Handle cash transactions and manage your own float
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely food preparation
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions
- Provide recommendations and answer guest inquiries about menu options
- Uphold sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe dining environment

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, making change, etc.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety guidelines is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-32 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour
