Reporting to: Social Care Campaign’s Specialist and Customer Engagement Coordinator

**Job Description**:
Reporting primarily to the Social Care Campaign’s Specialist, freelance customer support handlers will support first line enquiries from leads that have responded to or engaged with our social care campaigns, including foster carer enquiries.

The role will support and provide guidance to new enquirers about the recruitment stages of becoming a foster carer, providing detailed information about life as a foster carer including allowances and finances, the support and training which is offered as well as conveying the significant difference foster carers make to the lives of local looked after children.

The role will also work closely with Brightsparks stakeholders in order to achieve success across customer engagement KPI’s and achieving enquiry volume targets.

Calls and enquiries can take place between 9am and 8pm and will therefore require freelancer availability either during working hours or out of business hours.

The role will involve using system and reporting tools to ensure lead information is kept up to date as well as any other administrative duties required in the role.

Main responsibilities

The post holder’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Inbound and outbound call handling - Providing advice and information to prospective leads and providing an excellent customer service experience.
- Data entry and record keeping - The post holder will be responsible for updating and maintaining a number of digital platforms including a CRM, marketing and case management systems in order to ensure that leads and prospects are tracked and communicated with in a timely and appropriate way.
- Complete progress reports and handover documents to ensure continued business operations when not performing the role
- Outreach communications - targeting local organisations and providers to engage with their own client base about fostering and fostering information events to promote the role and services.
- Any other duties as required by Brightsparks in order to deliver its activities and work programme.

Experience

Desirable:

- Customer service experience role with call handling responsibilities
- Previous experience using online digital systems
- Knowledge and experience in completing spreadsheets and accessing documents using the google drive

Please note this is a zero hour freelancer contract and will require basic DBS check to be considered on our freelancer books.
