- This is an entry level position with opportunities to advance into field operations, professional Truck Driving (Class 1 driving) and Boom Truck Apprenticeships. As a Swamper/Rigger you are started off with many of the shop hand tasks but expand into learning to tie down loads, rigging lifts, crane setup and tear down and signaling crane movements. You will also learn to operate small pickers, deck trucks and mini-cranes as you advance in your role._

**Job Requirements**:

- **Class 5 license, GDL removed**
- **A clean 5 year Drivers Abstract**
- **Ability to consistently pass an alcohol and drug test (customer and company’s policy)**

**Personal Characteristics**:

- **Capability to plan and organize tasks**
- **Strong ability to meet deadlines with high performance**
- **Excellent inter-personal and communication skills**
- **They should enjoy working independently when necessary, being part of a team and having variety in their work**
- **Able to repeatedly lift 50lbs**
- **Good co-ordination, vision and manual dexterity**

**Assets - but training is provided**:

- **Air brake endorsement (Q) is an asset**
- **Class 1 license is an asset**
- **Previous experience as a crane rigger/swamper is an asset**
- **Previous experience as a shop hand is an asset**
- **Mini-crane and 6-ton picker experience is an asset**
- **Skid steer and telehandler experience is an asset**
