**Position Overview**:
The Material Field Service Liaison is a primary member of an integrated team working with various DND and IMP personnel ensuring that associated activities are undertaken to meet schedule, design specifications, and material airworthiness. The primary responsibility will be to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of Supply Chain Services in support of the CP140 Aurora Optimized Weapons Systems Management Program to ensure the Program performance metrics are adhered to in order to prevent and/or minimize aircraft unavailability.

The Material Field Service Liaison will report to the Main Operating Base in Greenwood, NS.

**What You Will Do**:

- Work effectively with IMP personnel (Supply Chain Mgmt, Asset Mgmt Specialists, Integrated Logistics Support, et al) to maximize supply chain efficiencies.
- Liaise effectively with Canadian Forces (CF) base/depot supply personnel, and on-site CF representatives.
- Coordinate special inventory projects for aircraft support
- Carry out investigations to determine causes for repetitive material supply problems and initiate or recommend corrective actions.
- Take a proactive approach to identify and resolve supply chain issues before they occur.
- Collaborate with other personnel/departments to maintain/improve cross-functional communication and decision making.
- Carry out supply chain operational analyses and projects as recommend or required.
- Capture and action Material Lessons Learned.
- Analyze satisfied and cancelled material shortage data to seek opportunities for correction of process problems.
- Carry out investigations to determine causes for repetitive supply problems and initiate or recommend corrective action.
- Monitor and report on supply performance with the aim to recommend and implement ways to reduce Turn-Around-Time (TAT) and cost.
- Review and recommend changes to supply chain/Material policies and procedures
- Develop and implement continuous improvement supply chain initiatives.
- Read, understand, comply with, and suggest improvements for all inventory-related procedures and directives.
- Convene and attend meetings with colleagues, supervisors and management to aid in resolution of material supply problems.
- Provide oral and written reports and correspondence as required.
- Satisfy customers in a professional manner and perform other functions as required.

**What You Will Bring**:

- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or Professional Logistics (P. Log) designation would be beneficial.
- Working knowledge of the Canadian Forces Supply System (CFSS) Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Inventory Control practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to meet objectives working with colleagues.
- Proven organizational ability and an aptitude for working with numbers.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Relevant military supply management experience is preferred.
- Strong process improvement & change management skills.
- Familiarity with the ISO 9000 / AS 9100 quality environments.
- Incumbents must be able to pass and maintain Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and Transport Canada security clearances.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies. Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety Legislation.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program.
