The Junior Site Superintendent is a front-line manager who is the first person in charge in the field and therefore the first person to make a decision during the work.
- They are the conductors of site operations

- They are the prime contractors of good relations between the client and subcontractors
- They are Pretium’s eyes and ears on site
- They are the watchdogs of the quality of the work
- They are the mediators in all working relationships on a construction site

**SUMMARY OF THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SUPERINTENDENT**

Participate in Pre-Construction Meetings including value engineering, design assist, and weekly design meeting with Owner and Design Team
- Participate with the project manager in the kick-off meeting and in the preparation of the detailed work schedule, as well as the regular schedule and maintenance of the 3-week schedule;
- Supervise the work progress
- Assist with the preparation of the master schedule
- Supervise to ensure that the 3-week and 6-week schedule is being followed and, as needed, work with the Project Manager, and Technical Coordinator to prepare action plans
- Ensure compliance with H&S rules; monitor them, welcome workers & attend H&S meetings with or without the safety officer, according to Pretium procedures
- Plan the construction site installations and site organization
- Take care of temporary structure designs not included in plans and specifications
- Determine material and supply needs. Order them from the Purchasing Department
- Attend coordination meetings with the client and/or representatives, as well as those of the subcontractors; follow up with the PM
- Coordinate the work of subcontractors, different specialties and other trades
- In collaboration with the PM, establish the required workforce requirements
- Responsible for maintaining “As built” documentation
- Perform administrative follow-up according to established procedures (Pretium quality control manual) including on Pretium’s template.
- Complete the Daily Report each day
- Train workers (construction site procedures, safety rules, emergency measures, spills, etc.);
- Supervise, coordinate and organize site work employees
- Establish working methods to meet the implementation schedule and coordinate activities with other departments
- Receive the materials delivered on site according to the established procedure (verification, document management and storage), indicate the phases on the receipt slips, on material invoices as well as timesheets (a specific list for each project)
- Evaluate rental requirements on a weekly basis and prepare requisitions, inform the PM of any rentals required over $500
- Resolve work-related issues and recommend measures to increase productivity
- Submit to the PM, at the end of the construction site, the “As built” documents and the annotated copies
- Coordinate, with the PM, the demobilization of the site and the transfers of utilities to the Owner
- Classify all documents sites according to the procedures for archiving
- With the PM, participate in the preparation of the project report and the evaluation of subcontractors

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
