Sterilization Assistant

Glacier View Dental is looking for a Dental Sterilization assistant to join our team and provide support to our dentists and healthcare professionals. We are a growing dental office with an amazing team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and a positive work environment. We are looking for someone that is dependable, responsible, and has a good personality. We have been in business for over 20 years and we have built a loyal client base.

We are open 4/5 days a week (Mon-Thurs/Fri) and we are closed on major holidays.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcome patients to the clinic and seat them in the operatories
- Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry, if required
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed - training will be provided
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions - training provided
- Keep the dental Sterilization room clean and well-stocked
- Work with the front office staff to resolve any issues or complaints

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as dental/sterilization assistant or similar role (preferred), but training can also be provided
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods (preferred), but training can also be provided
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal)
- Comfortable to work with sharps and blood borne instruments
- Able to work in a fast paced work environment
- Attention to detail is a must
- Physically and Mentally fit for the job

Part-time hours: 30-35 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
