**Your Job**

We are seeking an experienced MRO Buyer to support non-inventory buying and assist buying needs across different functions within Genesis Motion Solutions.

This position is predominately on-site in our **Langley, BC** head office. There is flexibility to work from home when needed.

**What You Will Do**
- Process Purchase Requisitions and issue Purchase Orders for products and services based on negotiated costs and deliverables
- Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials, and communicate any supply problems or risks
- Identify new or alternate sources of supply
- Provide supply chain support to internal customers
- Work cross-functionally across the organization and with suppliers to resolve any issues such as material supply, costing, and purchase order to invoice discrepancies
- Manage a portfolio of materials and suppliers to support both Production and Program (product development) objectives
- Take a professional and consistent approach in all supplier partnerships
- Support the purchasing team in order placements and expedites
- Support negotiations with suppliers to secure the best achievable material pricing, payment, delivery, and warranty terms
- Deliver briefs, updates, and reports when required
- Develop and document procurement processes

**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**
- Experience in a Buyer role
- Possess a knowledge base of key supply chain concepts
- Experience using an ERP or MRP system

**What Will Put You Ahead**
- 3 or more years of procurement or purchasing experience
- A degree in business, commerce, or recognized supply chain or purchasing accreditation
- Enrolled or completed CPIM, CSCP or SCMP
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and develop solutions when faced with complex challenges
- Able to build commitment to ideas, plans, and courses of action
- Able to manage challenges while continuing to meet deadlines and achieve goals
- Strong time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities
- Detailed and highly organized
- Able to work independently, and in a team environment
- Assertive and able to influence stakeholders through data and discussions
- Able to frame decisions with forecasted and partial data
- Skilled in interpreting and communicating technical information
- Skilled in communication, negotiation, problem solving, and decision making
