**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Quality Coordinator is responsible to support Operations in tasks associated with the product and process quality as well as the Quality Management System. Responsibility will also include providing support to production to improve efficiency and minimize waste.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conduct Root Cause Investigations and issue Corrective Action responses for internal and external issues including Field Problem Reports and Returned Goods.
- Support the Quality Management Systems (QMS) along with the Quality Manager - NA.
- Issue customer requested Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Update the Process Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (PFMEA) as necessary.
- Respond to survey requests, and action item lists.
- Know, understand and comply with the Quality Policy and the Mission, Vision and Values.
- Ensure that the Internal Audits and the Management Reviews are conducted in accordance with the Standard Practice Instructions.
- Participate in ISO 9001:2015 Registration Audit
- Investigate in-house failures through the tear-down process and reporting
- Participate in Transform and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
- Update Manufacturing Checklist and customer requested documentation as necessary
- Maintain Controlled Document list
- Participate in the development and monitoring of the Internal Auditing schedule.
- Conduct supplier audits in conjunction with the Supply Chain Group.
- Participate in customer, regulatory and registration audits.
- Issue monthly Defects per Million Opportunities (DPMO) and First Pass Yield (FPY) Reports.
- Review and maintain process monitoring records including varnish gel time and viscosity time, paint, and oven cure data.
- Issue Quality Alerts
- Manage Corrective Action Request (CAR) Reporting system
- Issue and control Certificates of Compliance (CofCs)
- Ensure that accurate records are kept
- Back up support for Field Service as time permits
- Filing quality records as necessary.
- Back up support for the calibration system
- Provide training and materials that support manufacturing processes and the Core Competency program.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Community College, 2-year Quality / Engineering Technician Program
- Preferred ISO 9001:2015 Auditor or Lead Auditor
- Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience with ERP Software (MS Dynamics AX) an asset
- Manufacturing experience would be an asset
- 3 years’ electrical testing experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Familiarity with design and manufacturing processes
- Blueprint reading
- Good communications skills
- Ability to effectively work closely with HPS staff, suppliers, customers and regulatory agencies
- Experience in an ISO 9001 QMS in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office knowledge Microsoft AX
- Understanding of SharePoint Site administration.
- Ability to work with HPS staff, departments, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to resolve complex issues, strong follow-up, organization and prioritization skills.
- Strong trouble-shooting skills.
