Die Polisher

Directly responsible to Die Shop/Caustic Supervisor. The Die Polisher must communicate well with the schedulers, press crew and all other plant personnel. Functionally responsible for maintenance of all extrusion dies to achieve maximum yield/productivity.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education/Experience**
- Minimum Grade 10 education
- Basic Knowledge of extrusion process with exposure to tooling/dies an asset

**Technical Skills/Competence**
- Must be able to read technical drawings
- Epics and outlook knowledge preferred
- Quality-driven with attention to detail is a must

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The duties and responsibilities of the Die Polisher are detailed below, but not limited to the following:

- Prepare dies according to required press schedules in cooperation with the Scheduling Dept.
- Deliver the required dies to applicable presses
- Help ensure graphite blocks are made available for dies requiring them
- Isolate dies to be corrected and ensure caustic attendant is informed of priority di
- Inspect & polish dies as required. Recognize defects/abnormalities and bring to the attention of correction staff or supervisor
- Comply with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirements
