As a Sales Associate, you are an important and key part of the success of our team. In this role, you will need to demonstrate your excellence by:
1. Providing the highest level of customer service and experience (Going above and beyond to help a customer find what they are looking for)

2. Being effective, efficient, respectful and knowledgeable about children’s items

3. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store

4. Being a brand ambassador by promoting what we do, how we do it and why we do it

5. Helping to achieve buys and sales goals

**Requirements**:
We understand that a Sales Associate position can be occupied by anyone but it takes a special person to work in a second hand store that cares about its community, its families and the environment it is a part of.

Our **PHILOSOPHY** of **Once Upon A Child** is quite different from other children’s retail stores: it is a retail children's store that buys and sells gently used kids’ clothing, shoes, toys, furniture, accessories and baby equipment, offering the parents, grand-parents and other care-givers the opportunity to recycle their children’s nearly new items and get paid cash. “_We buy gently used kids’ stuff all season, all day, every day, without any appointment and give cash_.”

Our **MISSION **is to give families in our community a convenient way to sell their children’s outgrown items every day, to help keep thousands of items out of landfills and to provide families the opportunity to buy high quality, new and gently used children’s items at budget-friendly prices in a family-friendly environment.

Customers often comment on how our store is very organized, very clean, we offer a judgment free and safe environment and how very helpful and friendly our staff is. They also say we have a lot of great selection to choose from at really amazingly low prices. When employees work in our store, they say that we are nice employers and that they enjoy working in our team. We strive for these comments to be consistent and regular; this comes with hard work.
