**We are currently recruiting for a Fire Captain for our client site (CNOOC) in Alberta. The starting dating for this position is December 26, 2024.**

DETAILS ABOUT OUR CURRENT OPPORTUNITY:
Fly in fly out commercial (via WestJet) and then cab to site from airport. The site will arrange these flights and travel logistics.

**Day rate**:$780.00**

**Rotation: Two (2) weeks on, two weeks (2) off.**

**Overall Purpose of the Position**:
The Fire Captain will plan, organize, and direct both emergency and non-emergency activities of an assigned team while acting as an extension of International SOS Management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establish work priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate daily workflows for the fire rescue team.
- Complete all required reports, documentation, and participate in site-specific leadership and safety training in accordance with client expectations.
- Foster a close working relationship between fire rescue staff and the clinic team.
- Maintain training records and ensure subordinates meet training requirements.
- Ensure all fire and rescue apparatus, equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment are inspected, maintained, and properly documented.
- Develop, review, and update site-specific emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct pre-incident planning with the team to ensure familiarity with site-specific response plans and procedures.
- Oversee scheduling of personnel time off and absences while maintaining minimum staffing levels.
- Serve as the officer-in-charge of emergency response operations for the assigned crew.
- Identify and mitigate emergency scene hazards, ensuring subordinate safety throughout incident operations.
- Direct subordinates to appropriate assignments during emergencies.
- Provide tactical recommendations to the client on all matters concerning emergency response operations.
- Complete all necessary emergency call reports and conduct investigations when required.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- NFPA 1001 Firefighter Level II
- NFPA 1072 (or 472) Hazardous Materials Response - Operations Level
- NFPA 1002 Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator
- NFPA 1006 Rope Rescue Technician
- NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor Level I
- NFPA 1021 Fire Officer Level I
- ICS 100, 200
- Standard First Aid/CPR

**Preferred Additional Qualifications**:

- NFPA 1006 Confined Space Rescue (operations or technician level)
- NFPA 1002 Fire Apparatus Pump Operator
- NFPA 1002 Aerial Apparatus Driver/Operator
- NFPA 1072 (or 472) Hazardous Materials Response - Technician Level
- NFPA 1021 Fire Officer Level II
- NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor Level II

This position requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in the fire service, including 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Pay: $780.00 per day
