**Job Summary**

The Apprentice Technician is responsible to supply and maintain their own tools and toolbox. The Tony Graham Automotive supplies specialty tools pertaining to the Toyota/Lexus brand and large equipment.

**What you offer**

**Job Duties**:
As an Apprentice, the incumbent must be able to _learn, understand and eventually perform _the tasks of a licensed Automotive Technician. The Apprentice will work with and be guided by a certified 310-S technician. Other duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Learn to properly use the special tools and equipment provided by the service department. Proper use of special shop tools includes cleaning, repairing, and returning to the proper spot in the Machine Room or Tool Board. Report broken tools to management.
- Participate, complete and remain current with all assigned technical trainings.
- Maintain the assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
- Ensure that the customer’s vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures of the Tony Graham Automotive Group.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation (i.e., Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code, Highway Traffic Act, etc.)
- Any other responsibilities are required and/or as assigned

**Education and Qualification**
- Enrollment in or completion of a recognized Apprenticeship program
- WHMIS training
- Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record

**Language**
- Fluent in English, oral and written
- Bilingualism, an asset

**Skills & Abilities**
- Mature personality and sound judgement skills
- Effective communication skills are required to deal with Service Advisors, Managers, customers, and other dealership personnel on a regular basis
- Good initiative, ambitious
- Attention to detail, pride of workmanship
- Able to use the specialized tools required associated with this profession
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently

**Schedule**:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

**Pay Structure**:
$19.00 per hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
