**Job description**

Lactalis is looking for a Washup/Filler Operator to work days, evenings, and weekends.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Start equipment, observing temperature and pressure gauges, and opening valves for continuous product flow to equipment.
- Operate equipment according to standard operating procedures to achieve the daily production target.
- Responsible for changeovers, servicing, and sanitary maintenance of equipment.
- Equipment checks for malfunctions and proper sanitation and taking appropriate corrective action.
- Operate clean-in-place (CIP) and clean-out-of-place (COP) systems.
- Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment.
- Receiving of cases and completing paperwork, running case room and all equipment.
- Supplying all pertinent documents and reports, as may be required by management or the government, in an accurate and legible format.
- Report to Manager/Supervisor immediately of any food safety and/or quality issues (ie foreign materials, sanitation issues, health & safety issues, etc).
- Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, Quality Regulations, 5S, SOPs and other pertinent policies, procedures and legislation.
- Maintain a safe work area and support health & safety programs (wear proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), Cardinal Rules, WHMIS etc).
- Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas.
- Take on additional duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Dairy/sanitation experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of plant and equipment operations (ie filler machines).
- Forkilft certified.
- Good mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the job.
- Good reading, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and in a team based environment.
- Additional experience, training or education asset.
