MacEwan University is seeking a TV Studio Operations Coordinator for a full-time continuing opportunity with the Department of Communication, Faculty of Fine Arts and Communication (FFAC). You will support the FFAC TV studio by managing all the studio’s equipment, which includes podcasting and audio recording, as well as TV and mobile video. You will also be coordinating and collaborating on recorded productions and live events, assisting faculty with curriculum delivery, and ensuring the studio is always production ready. This position is critical to supporting media production instruction and ensuring the department can meet its institutional obligations safely, cost effectively, and sustainably.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining studio equipment and monitoring broken, damaged, or aging equipment for material transfer and/or replacement options;
- Troubleshooting issues with equipment and software while ensuring problems are reported and repairs are made;
- Creating equipment kits for student sign-out, maintaining and updating the barcoded sign-out system, examining returned kits for damage or loss, and reporting damage or loss through appropriate channels;
- Coordinating the use of spaces and equipment for MacEwan partners and external clients;
- Acting as a director, floor manager, or production coordinator on specific projects;
- Assisting with the development of training materials and equipment-borrowing policies for students, faculty members, internal partners, and external clients;
- Training faculty and staff on the correct and safe use of TV studio equipment;
- Assisting faculty members in the successful delivery of curriculum by ensuring that studio processes are understood and followed, as well as by ensuring that students have had appropriate technical training.

**SKILLS**:
You will have:
- A strong background in project management, customer service, problem solving and troubleshooting;
- The ability to plan, learn, and adapt new technologies in the studio and the enterprise environment; and
- Interpersonal communication skills, including team leadership.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- A minimum of a diploma in communication studies or a related, relevant discipline.
- Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly specializing in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
- A certificate in Apple systems, networking, information technology infrastructure, etc., would be considered an asset.
- Technical communication training and skills would be considered an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
