**Position Summary**:
The Instructor, Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is primarlily responsible for day-to-day classroom instruction and student support in the PCP Program. This position works collaboratively with Regional Training Coordinators, Practice Education Coordinator, Program Managers, Program Faculty and Staff to ensure consistent delivery of program objectives and proactively address instructional issues and opportunities.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in relevant academic field (e.g. Health Sciences, Education, Clinical Practice);
- Recent (within five years) direct work experience in the field as a PCP (or higher) Paramedic;
- JIBC INDC-1110 Essential Skills for Training and Facilitation course, or equivalent courses in Adult Education, and/or instructional design.
- Familiarity with learning technologies, and various supervision models;
- Experience as an instructor, evaluator or similar role, delivering PCP, EMR, FR and/or FA courses;
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to work under pressure while responding to students’ requests;
- Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and sensitivity working with complex issues;
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;
- Proven ability to work as a team member, maintaining effective working relationships;
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Strong collaborative leadership and conflict resolution skills;
- Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and sensitivity when working with complex issues;
- Ability to travel, when required.
**What JIBC Offers**:
We offer a total compensation package that includes a benefit plan, which includes Extended Health and Dental Benefits after three months and enrollment in the College Pension Plan upon hire. In addition, we offer 20 vacation days and 10 Personal Days annually (pro-rated for FTE and in the first year), as well as generous other leave entitlements.
**Salary Range**:
**$52,001.04** to $57,744.96 per annum (Fair Comparison Faculty Equivalent Job Level P3)**
**This range has been pro-rated to reflect the 60% FTE of this position.**
The Compensation Range shown reflects JIBC's range for the role: between 85% and 100% of the sector range control point. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between 85% - 94% of the control point, based on the knowledge, qualifications and experience for the role, with exceptions in the 95% - 100% range.
