**SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY THERAPY ASSISTANT**
- Reporting to the Associate Superintendent and working under the direction of the Speech Language Pathologist, the SLPA will support and promote the success of all students as part of a multidisciplinary team across the school division. This is a full-time 10-month position with a comprehensive benefit plan. This position commences August 29, 2023.

Preference will be given to applicants who possess:

- Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program.
- Knowledge of speech and language milestones for children.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with technology.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience working as a multi disciplinary therapy assistant would be considered an asset.

Duties of the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant will include:

- Provide universal, targeted, and individualized support and services under the direction of the Speech Language Pathologist.
- Collaborate with other members of the Inclusive Education Student Supports team.
- Administer screening protocols including hearing screenings selected by the supervising SLP.
- Facilitate small group and individual services to students in schools.

Geographically and demographically, St. Paul Education covers a large rural/urban area in Northeast Alberta. We serve the communities of St. Paul, Elk Point, Two Hills, Mallaig, Ashmont, Myrnam and Heinsburg.
