**JOB DESCRIPTION: MRT Clerk**

**REPORTING TO: Director of Engineering**

***: Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the disposition of non-conforming material via a cross-functional team composed of Operations, Quality, and Engineering members.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
The incumbent will support the material disposition process by acting as a coordinator between Engineering, Quality, and Operations. The incumbent will lead MRT meetings to set priorities for material disposition and ensure scrap and OEE targets are met.
- Lead cross-functional daily meetings at MRT area
- Work with team to determine disposition of non-conforming material
- Follow material disposition process by ensuring proper documentation is completed
- Coordinate the scrap process and ensure it is completed in a timely manner
- Generate rework work orders in Visual Manufacturing
- Coordinate scheduling of rework with Operations team
- Work with team to identify corrective actions for recurring issues to meet scrap and OEE targets
- Other duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1-2 years experience in a machine and fabrication shop environment
- Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and analyze difficult issues
- Able to work independently and in a team - must be persistent and motivated to meet KPI targets
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point and Project)
- Able to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and operating cranes
- Basic knowledge of machining, casting, forging and/or welding and fabrication an asset
- Knowledge of MRP systems an asset
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 an asset
- Able to adjust schedule to work multiple shifts an asset

**HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Follow policies and procedures put in place for employee safety and in compliance to the OHSA
- Ask supervisor if unsure of task or duty assigned
- Report unsafe conditions and potential hazards to supervisor
- Wear and maintain proper PPE required for the task
- Do not engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct
- Do not use or operate any equipment or work in a way that may endanger any worker
- Report any hazards or contraventions of the OHSA

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00 per year
