Job summary:
The role is responsible for creating production plans that balance and influencing the required capacity to fulfill demand and achieve customer service levels while maintaining appropriate finished goods levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and adjust the production plan:
- Use software tools like JDA plan analysis and MP workbench to analyze the production plan
- Sequence the finite schedule in JDE to optimize production efficiency
- Create production work orders as required via JDA plan approval or JDE manual creation
- Interface with the business to adjust the plan based on constraints:
- Winemaking - blend and bulk wine availability
- Production - crewing feasibility
- Procurement - material arrival timing
- Sales & Marketing
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Use JDA plan analysis and supply planning tools to strike a balance between:
- Delivering the company Customer Service Level target
- Maintaining inventory levels with focus toward milestone dates (fiscal year end)
- Minimizing obsolescence risk
- Curate planning system parameters
- Ensure appropriate parameters are assigned during setup of a new item or location
- Tweak existing parameters based on analysis of effectiveness and trends
- Monitor and report on the production plan
- Leader of the S&OP - Monthly supply review
- Conduct gap analysis of the supply plan
- Communicate gaps to key stakeholders (sales, marketing, distribution, and Operations Management)
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management. (preferred : Diploma in Supply Chain Management )
- 3-5 Years’ Experience in a Planning or Supply Chain role
- Business acumen and experience with operational budgets
- Strong Excel skills including design and building multi-level spreadsheets.
- Outside MPS training.
- Supplier management skills.
- Highly organized.
- Strong general computer systems capability.
- Strong understanding of the relationships between DRP, MPS, MRP groups.
- Inventory control.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills that clearly define plans and issue resolution.
- Asset : Apics CPIM Designation
