Prince Albert, Canada South Hill Child Care Full time

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the director
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations
- Individual may be asked to also sub for childcare duties.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in food service or as a cook is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a child oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

**Skills**:

- Food service: Knowledge of food service industry standards and practices
- Cook: Proficiency in cooking techniques and recipe execution
- Food handling: Understanding of proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation
- Food preparation: Ability to prepare ingredients, measure quantities, and follow recipes accurately
- Kitchen: Familiarity with kitchen equipment, tools, and appliances used for cooking and food preparation
- Meal preparation: Skill in planning, organizing, and executing meal preparation for large groups of children

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
