**Position Purpose**:
Reporting to the Manager of Municipal Law Enforcement you will be responsible for inspecting properties for noxious weeds; authorizing the cutting of private properties, which contravene the Weed Control Act, using the Town assessment roll maps to identify property owners and locations; and other related duties may be assigned. **_Please see attached job description for more details._**

**Minimum Qualifications**:
Due to the specific qualifications required for this position it is a recurring June - September annual position requiring the qualifications of:

- Knowledge of the Weed Control Act;
- A valid Class “G” Driver’s License;
- Police Criminal Record Check deemed satisfactory by the Town;

**PRIMARY** FUNCTION**:
Reporting to the Manager of Municipal Law Enforcement you will be responsible for inspecting properties for noxious weeds; authorizing the cutting of private properties, which contravene the Weed Control Act, using the Town assessment roll maps to identify property owners and locations; and other related duties may be assigned.

**SUPERVISION** RECEIVED**:
Municipal Law Enforcement Supervisor and Manager or designate

**DIRECTION** EXERCISED**:
None.

**WORKING PROCEDURES**:
Responsible for inspecting properties for noxious weeds;

Authorizing the cutting of private properties, which contravene with the Weed Control Act;

Use the Town assessment roll maps to identify proper owners and locations;

Respond to various inquires as directed by the supervisor;

**SKILL/KNOWLEDGE** REQUIREMENTS**:
Knowledge of the Weed Control Act;

Previous noxious weed inspection experience is an asset;

Possession of a valid class “G” Driver’s License with access to a reliable vehicle;

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Police Criminal Record Check deemed satisfactory by the Town;
