Holistic Roots Childcare Centre is an Early Learning Centre that has been offering a holistic approach to childcare and education for the past 10 years. We are a small centre with 2 classrooms and a large natural outdoor play space.

We have a therapy dog on site that typically stays in the office and occasionally hangs out with the children and staff in the classroom. Lola loves to greet the children and staff when they come in and enjoys her walks and cuddles.

We are growing our gardening program and have expanded it to include a garden plot at the local community garden for families & staff. We grow the veggies starting from seeds and plant them when the time is right. Everyone gets to enjoy fresh veggies and herbs throughout the season.

The best coffee shop in Langley is located across the street.

**Job description**

**Holistic Roots Childcare Centre is looking for a full time, experienced, enthusiastic Education Assistant to join our team in our 3-5 year program.**

1 Full Time Position Available - Starting January 15th. **Shift**:Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30 pm

**Salary**: Dependent Upon Experience and Qualification
- *ECEA - starting at $18

**Job Description**:
Create a warm, supportive, healthy and engaging early learning environment

Collaborate & create lesson plans that adhere to a holistic approach that focuses on a child's physical, personal, social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, as well as cognitive aspects of learning.

Ensure that all programming is age appropriate for ages 3 years - 5 years

Engage children and participate in all activities which will include but not limited to mindful yoga, story time, language arts, arts and crafts, music & movements, sensory & outdoor activities.

Handle emergencies, crises, and challenging behaviours of the children.

Follow the center's policies & procedures as well as have knowledge of licensing regulations.

Have fun and build genuine relationships with children, their families and your coworkers

Early Childhood Assistant License

First Aid Certificate.

Criminal Record Check.

Doctors Note of Good Health

Immunization Record.
