**How will you contribute?**:
You will be an integral part of the high-volume production team ensuring that the spelling, punctuation, grammar, and syntax of the transcripts (written text) accurately reflects the digital sound of the proceedings.

**Open to**:
The general public to staff one (1) indeterminate (permanent, part-time) position in the Communications, Broadcasting and Publications Directorate.

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

**Prerequisites**:

- A post-secondary education in Communications or a related field, such as language studies, literature, translation or a combination of education, training, and related experience;
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as a proofreader, copy-editor translator or scopist;
- An advanced ability to copy-edit, correct and refine English grammar, syntax, spelling and punctuation;
- Ability to effectively research best practices and communicate recommendations to colleagues and supervisors;
- Ability to retain information and details or to create tools and methods to synthesize and retain large amounts of information;
- Ability to establish and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with different stakeholders;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to compile, analyze, prepare, organize and maintain information in an efficient manner;
- Superior knowledge of digital editing software, digital technologies and in Microsoft Office software
