Job Title: PR and Communications (Contractor)

Position Objective: This PR and Communications role will support our company and clients by producing high-quality content accurately, professionally and collaboratively.

Reports to: Client Servies Manager and People and Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement social media content calendars across social media platforms in alignment with the strategic goals of the client.
- Create original content that is in line with the client's brand, including but not limited to images, videos, and copy.
- Support clients with livestreams with the use of Zoom, Facebook Live and Instagram Live.
- Monitor and respond to user comments and inquiries in client's preferred language and tone.
- Keep up with the latest trends and best practices on social.
- Come up with bright ideas and solutions - if a project isn’t working, work with a lead or supervisor to develop a solution.
- Proactively anticipate needs of accounts and have the ability to move projects forward.
- Evaluate and provide insight regarding the effectiveness of communications activities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, correspondences and other materials related to PR and marketing materials.
- Assist in maintaining and writing website content, including identifying target audiences, content and tactics to drive increased traffic.
- Assist in tracking and reporting on campaigns and social media metrics and mentions.

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in communications and/or marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in a communications and/or marketing role at an agency or in-house.
- Excellent written communication skills with emphasis on proofreading and grammar excellence.
- Possesses strong project management, time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize deliverables in an ever-changing environment.
- Open to collaboration and working with a team.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to produce content with a high level of accuracy.
- Works well both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite an asset
- Personal transportation is preferred.
