Pipefitter Apprentices

**What will be your role?**

Reporting to the Installation Manager, the **Pipefitter Journeyperson / Apprentice** will work in collaboration with the Halifax installation team:
**Responsibilities**:

- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
- Select type and size of pipe required
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
- Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system

- Holds a valid Red Seal accreditation (preferred) or is a registered Apprentice
- Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights
- Good work quality and ability to work steadily to meet project timelines
- Good physical dexterity to work in tight or awkward locations
- No criminal record, must be able to meet security clearance requirements

- All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and a Canadian Government Security clearance._

**Salary**: $24.38-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
