Colas Rail is currently seeking a Junior Surveyor to work alongside the Chief Surveyor and provide field survey assistance to track work while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The Junior Surveyor will ensure the design criteria is adhered to at all construction stages and will also be responsible for transportation and care of all instruments and accessories to and from the field.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- 2-3 years of survey experience in a construction environment, track experience preferred
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering Technology
- Experience with robotic total station, GPS, and other survey instrumentation
- Basic knowledge and experience working with survey data preparation for field surveys/download and process
- Computer skills and the ability to use AutoCAD, Leica Infinity, MicroStation*, etc.
- Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills with a high level of dependability

**Profile**:

- Working in the field running construction machinery in uneven field conditions
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Ability to carry heavy equipment
- Project related travel as required
