Warehouse Technician, Driver

**Role Summary**: As a Warehouse Technician and AZ Driver, you'll manage the warehouse and deliver industrial supplies and lubricants across a vast 600km radius. Your duties span inventory control, order preparation, and ensuring a safe, clean workspace. You'll also oversee the front-store and assist walk-in customers, blending warehouse operations with day-trip deliveries prioritizing safety, compliance, and top-notch customer service.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Warehouse Tasks**: Physically receive, count, validate quantities put away industrial supplies and record the information in the computerized inventory system. Prepare orders and shipments, package the products, and prepare for delivery in boxes or on skids. Complete regular inventory counts as per Pepco standards and report any discrepancies.
- **Storefront Tasks**: Assist walk-in customers in the storefront by offering information, aiding in product selection, completing sales transactions, and processing payments. Generate daily report on sales transaction and ensure balance with all payment slips. Examine returned product to determine applicable transaction: credit memo or sales order return. Manage store front inventory (inventory levels/ stock turnover rates, physical stock rotation based on FIFO method, and completing physical inventory counts).
- **Product and Fuel Delivery**: Drive a manual 10 or 18 speed truck, load and offload fuel products (including rack loading), following specified routes and schedules and adhere to TDG (Transport of Dangerous Goods) regulations. Drive to various commercial and residential customer locations to deliver warehouse products (Industrial supplies, lubricants in pails, totes, and bulk). Operate box truck while adhering to all regulations of the Highway Traffic Act while driving by maintaining an accurate daily logbook, using an Electronic Logging device (Motive), complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection check and report any concerns. Organize shipping documents (packing slips) for efficient delivery, arranging orders on a skid in the order of delivery by location. Travel to other Pepco sites as needed for fuel, lubricants, or industrial supplies deliveries (day trips and occasional overnight trips).
- **Industrial Supplies and Lubricants Delivery**: Deliver bulk oil products by pumping the oil into the customer tanks following dispatched routes. Offload the orders using the truck tailgate, pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Complete and submit TDG documents, Bills of Lading, delivery tickets, and trip summaries to the Dispatcher and Operations Supervisor within ½ hour at the end of each shift. Utilize technology (Sonim mobile phone) for precise documentation of customer services rendered, ensuring accurate data capture and billing.
- **Safety Compliance and Regulations**: Respond and report appropriately to any emergency situations that arise, such as breakdowns, incidents, spills, or adverse weather conditions. Maintain compliance with customer site safety certifications, access protocols, and training requirements.
**IDEAL CANDIDATE**
- **Location**:Preferably lives in Thunder Bay, ON, or other nearby areas. In-person position only; no possibility of working from home or hybrid.
- **Typical schedule**:On-site position. Monday to Friday, 8-14 hours per day. Work schedule may require team member to take early morning, evening, or late-night shifts, on-call during weekends or for emergencies. Weekend or holiday rotation work also may be necessary. Must follow Hours of Service regulations as set by the Highway Traffic Act Ontario Regulation 555-06.
- **Travel Requirement**: 50%. The remainder of the time is divided between being in the warehouse and being outdoors.
- **Education**:High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Licenses and Certifications**:Valid Class 1 or AZ license and clean driver’s abstract required.
- **Physical Requirements**:Must have the physical capabilities and strength for lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling items up to 50 lbs. Requires endurance to handle long hours of driving and the physical demands of loading and unloading cargo.
- **Experience**:Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
