PACE Atlantic CIC is a Community Interest Corporation that operates with a mandate to provide a public good. We develop and offer low-carbon solutions for homeowners that are cleaner, simpler, and more cost-effective. Our program design enables an easy customer-friendly approach to energy efficiency upgrades, solar and beneficial electrification. We support municipalities in their work to establish (and often operate on their behalf) an energy efficiency financing program in their community.

**Job description**

**Position Title**: Energy Concierge
- 2023 Summer Student

**Location of Position**: Office in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with both on-site and virtual work.

**Estimated Start Date**: May 3rd, 2023

**Work Hours**:Full-time, 40 hours per week

**Position Overview**:
As an excellent communicator with superb organizational skills, you love working directly with clients, co-workers, and other stakeholders. This role is mainly responsible for supporting and coordinating with property owners who are interested in undertaking energy upgrades in a highly courteous and helpful manner that exceeds their expectations. There is also room for creative business development initiatives in this position including marketing, social media, energy modeling, accounting, etc.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Is enrolled in a post-secondary education program specializing in business, communications, life sciences, or another related field.
- Energy efficiency and renewable energy background preferred but not required
- High level of proficiency in both verbal and written communications.
- Kind, approachable, accommodating and customer-centric personality.
- Bilingualism an asset.

**Position Duties**:
The main responsibility as an Energy Concierge with PACE Atlantic is to help support homeowners with their energy upgrade projects. We also want the Energy Concierge Summer Student to take a creative approach to this position.
- Reporting to and supporting experienced Energy Concierges
- Project administration and follow-up, involving data gathering, entry & processing, document control, measurement, verification & reporting.
- Conducting self-started mini projects over the duration of the summer term to help improve current business models.
- Stakeholder engagement (e.g. FCM, municipalities, contractors, efficiency organizations).
- Organizing and supporting community and stakeholder engagement activities related to energy, climate change and energy upgrade financing.
- Research into energy policies, programs, and industry activity across Canada.
- Other duties as assigned.
