Telecommunications Copper Splicer Apprentice

Carter Brothers Ltd. is a medium sized company located throughout New Brunswick. We are a leading contractor in the communications line construction industry, providing services for a variety of clients. We are currently accepting resumes for Telecommunication Splicer positions. **What we require you to do**:

- Must be proficient in copper Splicing
- Must be able to troubleshoot and analyze basic technical issues
- Must be able to splice Paper cables
- Must be able to install Pressurized and Non-pressurized closures on all types and sizes of cables
- Must be able to work from Ladders and aerial buckets
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be willing to Travel
- Must be willing to work seasons
- Must have extensive knowledge of cable systems and Prints/Drawings

**What we need from you**:

- Experience in troubleshooting;
- Knowledge of cabling and physical infrastructure and comfortable with line terminals;
- Knowledge of network technology, maintenance practices and procedures, coupled with strong knowledge of “outside plant”;
- Able to identify problems and situations, take appropriate action, implement solutions or escalate as required; and
- Self-disciplined, motivated, and organized.
