- As a Business and Data Analyst with Calgary Transit, you will analyze quantitative data to provide insight, recommendations and solutions to the Fleet Maintenance management team. You will identify and explain trends, causes of failure and vehicle state of repair, developing models, forecasts and business cases in addition to developing, maintaining and executing reoccurring and ad-hoc reports. Primary duties include:

- Support data-driven decision making by conducting data modelling, analysis, and forecasts in response to requests from within and outside Transit Fleet Maintenance.
- Execute, update and maintain a portfolio periodic and live reports highlighting metrics related to vehicle maintenance, reliability, utilization and greenhouse gas emissions and automate existing reports where possible.
- Continuously monitor and audit data quality and integrity, identifying and addressing data anomalies and inconsistencies.
- Support and participate in various projects and working groups for CT, the City of Calgary, other transit agencies and external groups including research institutions and industry groups.
- Provide in depth analysis, recommendations and written reports for specific proposals and initiatives including business cases, strategic plans and technical trials.

**Qualifications**
- A degree in Computer Science, Business, Applied Science, Mathematics or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience related to data analysis, statistical analysis, data visualization, strategic business planning, project management, customer service and experience in a large organization with diverse businesses.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and experience with Business Intelligence tools and SQL language is required.
- Experience with Power BI and SAP Crystal Reports will also be an asset.
