Watch TV for work Ever wonder how closed captions are created?

You will be trained to use voice recognition software to create captions for live broadcast programming and time-coding software to align text to recorded media.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- An articulate, clear and strong speaking voice
- Demonstrated time-management skills
- Ability to respond calmly, and think quickly under pressure
- Keen interest in geography, sports, politics, and current affairs
- Experience proofreading, editing text for 100% accuracy would be an asset
- Native English fluency
- Spanish or French fluency considered an asset
- Special preference will be given to those with a second language and/or a post-secondary education._

**Starting Salary** _is $18.00/hr during training and increase to $20/hr after training and probationary period is completed._

**Work Schedule**
- Full-time positions averaging 36 hours/week
- Late-evening shift work including some weekends
