**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Groundskeeping**:

- Ensures that the farm is presented in the best possible way visually and horticulturally: seasonal mowing, weeding, leaf cleaning, trimming, power washing, window cleaning, planting, watering, wood floor and furniture polish, replacement of broken windows/hardware/signage/lights.
- Ensures that waste is separated appropriately, is collected efficiently to avoid fees and decrease disposal costs. Takes garbage that cannot be collected to the landfill/depot from time to time.
- Ensures that facilities including but not limited to the forest shower, the orchard pub, bathrooms, showers, kitchen, RVs, wood shop are functioning and clean.
- **Maintenance**:

- Carries out the annual landscaping, lavender, and maintenance plan presented by the GM and Directors.
- Maintains seasonal equipment such as bell tents, lean-tos, firepits: cleaning and waterproofing of canvas, proper installation, regular checks and adjustments of ropes, end of season clean, proper storage.
- Manages all operational equipment (tractor, landscaping equipment, woodworking tools)
- Oversees all farm infrastructure including but not limited to: building maintenance, cleaning, painting, new construction, parking, irrigations, drainage, plumbing, signage.
- Ensures that all supplies (PPE, gas, propane, fire wood, building materials, paint, oil, light bulbs, replacement parts, cleaning products, soap, shampoo, paper, batteries ) are stocked. Purchases supplies and materials as needed, making sure that time spent running errands is kept to a minimum. Do a price benchmark and keep a list of preferred suppliers (time and cost effective) for each item.
- **Operations**:

- Work with the Events Coordinator to provide any equipment required to carry out an event and all follow-up support; venue set up (audio, tables, chairs, drink bar), cleaning, garbage and recycling management and repairs.
- Work with the Products Manager to provide any equipment and support required to carry out the harvest and processing of the farm crops; provides assistance in cleaning/sharpening/repairing of harvesting tools, in harvesting, in managing the organic waste generated by the processing of farm crops.
- Resets the venue after an event by putting furniture and audio equipment back where they belong

**Success in this role**
- Efficient oversight of daily, weekly, and monthly demands of maintaining a world class farm and venue.
- Completion of seasonal objectives with limited breakdowns and misused staff time.
- Completing the quarterly directives from the GM and Directors.
- Good knowledge of IT/network/audio systems/basic electricals/plumbing/home appliances/propane and gas powered equipment/irrigation/drainage/septic system/RV systems: ability to troubleshoot, do minor repairs, arrange for contractor support as needed.
- Basic woodworking and hand tool proficiency.
- Ability to safely use and maintain farm/landscaping equipment and power tools (lawn mower, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, chainsaw, tractor with a three-point hitch and loader).
- Be task oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and optimize tasks.
- Good communication skills. Team player. Desire to help others.
- Class 5 driver's license with trailer experience.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Physically fit.
- Attention to detail: will not give up on esthetics for functionality, will not consider a job done until it is done right.

Note: Previous experience as a groundskeeper or in a similar role is preferred.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $16.75-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
